A day of festive fun and entertainment in Beeston Nottingham
to celebrate the Christmas Lights 2013 Switch-On.
This years event will mainly take place
in Broadgate Park and along Beeston High Road due to the
ongoing tram line construction.
Broadgate Park & Beeston High Road:
12noon - 6pm
There will be lots of festive entertainment
for all the family, from fair ground rides, live music,
Christmas gift stalls and street entertainment, as well
as the opportunity for children to meet Santa!
The popular Bjorn the Bear will
also be returning for 2013 who will be performing 20 minute
shows at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. |

On the
stage
A variety of live music will be performed
throughout the day and Gem106FM will be hosting the stage
from 5pm leading up to the spectacular Firework display.
Itinerary:
- 12 noon – 1.00pm The Uke Box
- 1.20pm – 2.00pm Long Eaton Silver Prize Band
- 2.20pm – 2.30pm Push Dance Group
- 2.30pm –3.00pm Children’s entertainment

- 3.20pm – 4.00pm Beeston Rock Choir
- 4.15pm - 5.00pm TI Funk Band
- 5.00pm - 6.00pm Christmas Lights Switch
On
Ceremony togethe with a Grande fireworks display.
Sam and Amy from Gem106 will host the lights
switch-on ceremony and will be joined by the Mayor of
Broxtowe Iris White and Trent Barton's singing bus driver
-X Factor's! James McDonald.
Visit Santa in his Grotto!
Santa will be in his Grotto during the day (20th November)
on Beeston Square from 12.00-6.00pm.
Entry is free and each child will recieve a small gift.
If you miss Santa on the day, you can visit him at Broadgate
Park in the run up to Christmas, from 10.30am-4.30pm every
Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5th December until 21st
December. Entry is free and each child will recieve a small
gift.
