as Idle Jack. We are also pleased to welcome back the return

Along side our handsome hero is a host of colourful characters
waiting to entertain and enthral you all! Sarah the Cook

by the loveable Idle Jack, who will both join Dick, Tommy
the Cat, the Captain and Mate on the good ship Saucy Sal
as they set sail to discover unfound treasures.
Shipwrecked in Morocco, Dick and Tommy the Cat will need
to come to the rescue of the Sultan but with a dastardly
King Rat ducking, diving and conniving, it will take all
of Tommy’s prowess to rid the country of rats.
Will Dick then make it back to London and become Lord Mayor?
Will he find true love in the arms of Alice? Maybe with
a little sprinkling of magic and sparkle from Fairy Bow

The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) by
Roald Dahl
Derby Theatre, Tuesday 29 November 2011 to Saturday 14 January
2012
A children's classic – perfect for
Christmas
Late one night, Sophie is snatched from her bed in the
orphanage by the BFG, who takes her back to his cave in
Giant Country. The BFG – Big Friendly Giant – is a dream-blowing
giant who blows lovely golden dreams into the bedrooms of
sleeping children. The two soon become the best of friends,
feasting together on disgusterous stinking snozzcumbers,
washed down with frobscottle and making whizzpoppers together.
But catasterous disastrophe strikes. The other giants are
not nearly so nice. Their favourite pastime is feasting
each night on human beans, and have set their sights on
their next meal – the chillders of England.
Sophie and the BFG quickly make plans to save them, enlisting
the help of the Queen of England, the Head of the Army and
the Head of the Airforce in their battle against the other
giants.
